#AskAboutAsthma is back for 2023. Now in its seventh year, the campaign encourages simple changes to children and young people’s care that will make a big difference to how they experience their asthma. The 2023 #AskAboutAsthma campaign will run from 11 – 17 September.

NW London residents are invited to join this online event and respond to the proposed new model of care for community-based specialist care for adults in NW London.

Almost a million more people (900,000) will become eligible for a shingles vaccination from September, the NHS announced last week.

Anyone who is severely immunosuppressed and over 50 will be able to get two doses of the Shingrix vaccine - currently the vaccine is only available to those over 70.

In 2022 Healthwatch Ealing launched a new project looking to better understand the Primary Care experience of the minority communities in Ealing. By talking directly to patients who typically experience a range of health inequalities, Healthwatch hoped to gain an understanding of the issues they experience and the factors such as language and ethnicity that may play a role in the access, treatment and care they receive

The information presented within this report reflects the individual patient experience of health and social care services, untainted and without agenda to ensure that the genuine observations and commentaries of the community are captured. Healthwatch Ealing presents this as factual information to be considered and utilised to improve service provision and highlight areas of good practice.

The campaign aims to spread public awareness of the different roles within a GP practice's scope that can best help patients. From the GP themself, to a physio therapist, to a clinical pharmacist, getting a person to the best possible help can look different than just seeing the GP.

The London Borough of Ealing will be hosting a community forum on August 8th to discuss its Health & Wellbeing Strategy and Community Pharmacists.
